A vegan and upcycled wax obtained from the winterization of sunflower oil. Has high melting point and excellent oil gelling capabilities, increases stick structure and stability. A natural alternative for mineral waxes.

Our 100% natural and vegan plasticizing wax, Kester Wax K70P, demonstrates exceptional properties as a cosmetic ingredient. It improves product stability, enhances texture, and contributes to better spreadability and skin feel across various formulations. Acting as an effective plasticizer, it reduces brittleness and improves dispersion in products like deodorant sticks.

A high-melting-point plasticizer wax improves the stability, compatibility, and feel of anhydrous systems without affecting their structure. It is perfect for jelly and squeezable forms. It has great film-forming and adhesion properties. With a combination of Kester Wax K82H, it can be used as a vegan replacement for beeswax.

Method

  • In the main beaker weight PHASE A1 and heat to 85-90°C
  • Under homogenizer add PHASE A2, one by one
  • Add PHASE A3 to PHASE A1A2 and homogenize
  • Add PHASE A4 to PHASE A1A2A3 under stirring (helix propeller)
  • Heat PHASE B to 85-90°C
    Add slowly PHASE B to
  • PHASE A under stirring (helix propeller) until emulsion formation
  • Add PHASE C
  • Measure the pH and verify that it is in the pH range of 7-8

Stability Information

Accelerated conditions: Three months at 45°C
