UPCYCLED WAXES BY KOSTER KEUNEN

Considering our commitment to sustainability, we offer upcycled waxes that will definitely give high-performing benefits to the final formulations: Sunflower Wax, Rice Bran Wax, and Orange Peel Wax.

Orange Peel Wax comes from discarded orange peels from orange juice production and is obtained by a green chemistry process called Water/Steam distillation, where no solvents are used.

When we talk about Rice Bran Wax and Sunflower wax, the process is also environmentally friendly, as it is not a chemical process but a physical one called Winterization. Both raw materials come from the oil industry and are obtained by putting the oils in cold chambers, where the wax fractions will precipitate and then be filtered from the oil. These waxes are also considered upcycled because the filtered wax in the past was thrown away as residue from the oil industry.
