Permulgin 3280 is a mineral wax of the ozokerite type consisting of paraffinic and naphthenic hydrocarbons ca. C20-C70.

In stick formulations, Permulgin 3280 functions as an oil gellant and improves hardness, break resistance, temperature stability, texture, and oil binding.

In emulsion formulations, Permulgin 3280 functions as a consistency regulator, improves emulsion stability, and when used in combination with Castor Wax (Hydrogenated Castor Oil), suppresses crystallisation of this wax.
